The Role:
We’re looking for a Molecular Genetic Consultant to play a vital role in advancing diagnostic services. You will lead cutting-edge genetic analyses, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to ground-breaking research, improving patient outcomes and addressing genetic disorders in West Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced genetic testing (e.g., PCR, NGS).
• Analyse and interpret complex genetic data to support personalised patient care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans based on genetic insights.
• Mentor and train laboratory staff in molecular genetics.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and uphold laboratory excellence.
• Engage in community outreach and raise awareness of genetic health.

About You:

• Qualifications: Medical degree, Ph D, or equivalent in Genetics or Molecular Biology. Board certification in Clinical Molecular Genetics is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in molecular diagnostics, with expertise in techniques such as PCR and NGS.
• Skills: Exceptional data analysis and reporting abilities, leadership in laboratory settings, and a commitment to professional development.
