About the Role
We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Specialist Nurse - Outpatient to join our dedicated team. You will work across a variety of specialities, including cardiology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, and dermatology, delivering exceptional care and driving innovative practices.
Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes and experiences while contributing to the AMCE’s mission of setting new standards in healthcare across Africa.
What You'll Do

• Provide expert patient care, from assessments to education and follow-ups.
• Act as a clinical leader, mentoring junior staff and promoting excellence in care.
• Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals, and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient journeys.
• Develop and implement outpatient care protocols to optimise patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and integrate new technologies in practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and manage care for patients with chronic and acute conditions.
• Assist with diagnostic tests, treatments, and minor procedures.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-management.
• Maintain compliance with safety, governance, and infection control standards.

What We're Looking For
Essential:

• Qualifications: Registered Nurse with a valid nursing licence.
• Experience: 3–5 years of clinical experience in a relevant speciality, handling complex cases and using specialised equipment.
• Attributes: Proactive, professional, organised, and committed to improving patient care.
• Skills: Leadership, mentorship, and excellent communication.

Desirable:

• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field.
• Experience working in diverse, multicultural settings.
