Job Summary: The Head of Academia will lead the academic operations of the Etiquette Management School (EMS) to ensure excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and student outcomes. This role involves creating and implementing strategies to establish the school as a leader in etiquette and hospitality education, fostering student and staff development, and maintaining industry-aligned standards. This position will ensure an effective learning
environment, oversee programme delivery, student onboarding, and engagement, and represent the school on professional platforms to enhance its reputation and connections. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in education, a passion for etiquette, and exceptional leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Programme Oversight
- Design, implement, and monitor all academic programmes to ensure they meet the school’s objectives and maintain high standards.
- Regularly review and update course content to align with industry trends and best practices.
- Develop and implement systems to track and assess student performance, ensuring timely intervention and support.
- Collaborate with the Head of Administration to coordinate student onboarding, ensuring a seamless transition into the school.
- Maintain accreditation by ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Gather, analyse, and act on student feedback to improve course delivery and learning outcomes.
- Onboard and train teaching staff, ensuring they possess expertise and alignment with the school’s vision.
- Allocate teaching, research, and administrative workloads equitably and transparently.
- Develop and implement professional development plans for academic staff to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to foster staff growth.
- Ensure staff adhere to the school’s code of conduct and uphold professional standards in all interactions.
- Create a collaborative and supportive working environment that encourages innovation and teamwork.
- Design and deliver lecture notes in alignment with the school standards.
- Design and oversee fair and transparent assessment processes, ensuring adherence to academic policies.
- Promote student engagement by encouraging participation in workshops, training sessions, and extracurricular activities.
- Lead initiatives that prepare students for the hospitality industry, such as career fairs, internship placements, and industry networking events.
- Develop and implement strategies to build students’ confidence and etiquette skills, ensuring career readiness.
- Oversee the academic calendar, ensuring effective scheduling of classes, exams, and other academic activities.
- Manage the logistical requirements for programme delivery, including teaching resources and facilities.
- Prepare detailed reports on academic performance, student progression, and financial needs related to academic operations.
- Collaborate with the Head of Administration to ensure effective communication and coordination across all school functions.
- Develop contingency plans to address operational challenges and ensure the uninterrupted delivery of programmes.
- Build partnerships with industry stakeholders, including professionals, organisations, and alumni.
- Incorporate real-world insights into the curriculum through collaborations with industry experts.
- Organise guest lectures, etiquette workshops, and seminars to expose students to industry practices and trends.
- Represent the school at professional forums, conferences, and industry events to enhance its reputation and build connections.
- Spearhead innovative initiatives that establish the school as a leader in hospitality and etiquette education.
- Regularly benchmark the school’s offerings against industry standards to ensure relevance and competitiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational or training institution.
- Strong understanding of etiquette, social skills, and professional behaviour.
- Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
- Proficiency in curriculum development and educational assessment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
Pay: ₦300,000.00 - ₦400,000.00 per month
