Job Summary
The Sous Chef will play a key role in maintaining food quality and flavor standards, assisting in the smooth operation of a central kitchen. This role requires strong culinary expertise, leadership abilities, and a dedication to upholding hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Food Quality and Flavor Management:
• Ensure consistency and quality in food preparation and presentation.
• Monitor and maintain flavor profiles across various dishes and menus.
• Kitchen Operations:
• Assist the head chef in managing daily kitchen activities.
• Supervise and guide kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen according to hygiene standards.
• Recipe and Menu Execution:
• Execute recipes as per standardized guidelines, ensuring portion control and taste accuracy.
• Support menu development with innovative ideas and feedback.
• Central Kitchen Coordination:
• Oversee production schedules to meet delivery timelines for multiple outlets.
• Manage inventory levels, ensuring the availability of fresh ingredients.
• Team Collaboration and Training:
• Train kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Hygiene and Safety Compliance:
• Adhere to and enforce food safety regulations and health standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven experience in a central kitchen, with a focus on food quality and flavor management.
• Culinary diploma or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Strong understanding of hygiene and food safety regulations.
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage and train a team.
• Basic proficiency in English and Arabic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high production volumes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Temporary, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: KD400.000 - KD700.000 per month
