Responsibilities
Pay: KD900.000 - KD1,200.000 per month
Education:
- Collaborating with course similar teachers to ensure consistent curriculum and assessments for students regardless of section or teacher.
- Demonstrating skill in Math.
- Providing planned instruction to students, to monitor performance daily and provide corrective feedback throughout the learning process.
- Developing long and short-range plans for instruction.
- Showing written evidence of preparation for classes, both long and short range.
- Preparing a substitute plan in case of absence.
- Varying instructional techniques and instructional materials to suit learning styles, motivation levels, needs, and capabilities of the students.
- Exhibiting knowledge and understanding of individual students.
- Assessing student achievement levels using both formative and summative assessments based on the material covered in class.
- Developing and implementing a classroom management scheme which emphasizes a tidy and orderly classroom learning environment.
- Testing and evaluating student’s abilities, record grades, check and register attendance, send Progress Reports to parents, enter grades on report cards as specified by the administration.
- Notifying parents in advance of pending failing mark.
- Consulting with counseling and guidance departments regarding individual student problems.
- Keeping accurate and complete written records for all parent conferences, student conferences, behavior discipline incidents and extra student assistance.
- Participating in pertinent in-service programs, taking courses to upgrade instructional level, staff development and to maintain license/certification.
- Observing guidelines (censorship) established by the administration in accordance with the instructions of the Kuwait Ministry of Education.
- Posting updated units on ATLAS.
- Attending and participating in all faculty meetings and general assemblies.
- Taking all necessary safety and precautionary measures to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Supervising students out of the classroom and being responsible for maintaining that area as assigned by administration.
- Assisting in upholding and enforcing school rules and administrative regulations inside and outside the classroom.
- Receiving and maintaining textbooks, study materials, teaching supplies and classroom equipment.
- Maintaining professional relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Promptly returning phone calls and emails as well as being available to parents and students during regular school hours and at other reasonable times.
- Safeguarding privileged information about students, faculty members, and administration.
- Cooperating with fellow staff members in the sharing and exchanging of materials.
- Being active participants in subject specific school events.
- Other tasks as required
- Internationally Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Math
- Strong classroom manager
