We are looking for a General ledger accountant to join our team, in this role, you will handle a variety of accounting responsibilities, leveraging tools like SAP and Excel to ensure accurate financial records and streamline retail store operations across the United States and Canada. Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare account analyses for high-risk accounts.
• Compile and post weekly AR Adjustment data, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals.
• Create and process journal entries, including accruals, reclassifications, and corrections.
• Research and resolve discrepancies related to goods received, in-transit liabilities, and GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced).
• Process prepaid deposits requested by retail store locations and manage prepaid adjustments.
• Monitor price override processes, perform sample audits monthly, and clear balances to the PPV account.
• Import/export data to secondary reconciliation tools like TRECS for monthly reconciliations.
• Assist with operational improvements to simplify and enhance accounting processes.
• Communicate with team members and external departments to resolve issues and streamline workflows.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in analytical, finance, accounting, or business roles.
• Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and (preferably) Macros.
• Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems is strongly desired.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a problem-solving mindset.
• Familiarity with handling large datasets and high transaction volumes.
