We are looking for an experienced API Gateway Engineer - Axway, Security, and API Management to join the Agile Production Services Tribe. You will be responsible for the design, deployment, and management of API infrastructure, focusing on security, efficiency, and digital transformation. This role involves working cross-functionally with architects, engineers, and business analysts to create secure and scalable API solutions while supporting the organization’s digital objectives.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and support integration layers between operating systems and business applications for B2B, B2C, and web information exchange.
• Engineer and configure API Gateway security policies and manage the API Management platform.
• Deploy, configure, and monitor Axway and Apigee API Gateways to ensure optimal performance.
• Develop complex policies using Policy Studio, CI/CD workflows, and postman collections for testing.
• Participate in production support activities, including incident, problem, and change management, with on-call duties as needed.
• Assist clients in digital transformation by implementing robust API management and security solutions.
• Architect technical solutions aligned with best practices and organizational standards.
• Establish and document installations, policies, and procedures for internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, patch updates, and system migrations to maintain security and compliance.
• Configure and manage monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Kibana, and Logstash to ensure system health and performance.

Required Skills

• Proven experience with Axway API Gateway Platform (version 7.7.x) including Policy Studio, API Manager, Portal, and Analytics.
• Strong understanding of REST and SOAP Web Services.
• Hands-on experience with API security measures: API Key, OAuth 2.0 (JWT, Authorization Code, Client Credentials), SSL, and Basic Authentication.
• Experience with API CI/CD implementation using Jenkins and Git Lab.
• Proficiency in Linux environments, shell scripting, and database integration (My SQL).
• Ability to configure Cassandra databases for performance optimization.
• Skilled in server monitoring, resource management, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in designing and managing APIs with Apigee Edge.
• Proficiency in Java Script, Groovy, or Core Java.
• Understanding of KPS architecture and its relation to Cassandra.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and Dev Ops practices.
• High awareness of risks associated with the financial sector and adherence to defined processes for incident and change management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural, and dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to assess business impacts effectively.
• Customer-oriented with flexibility to meet demanding sprint schedules.
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience with at least 5+ years in IT Security Engineering and 3+ years in web security domains.
• Proficiency in English (oral and written); knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.
• Proven experience in the financial or banking sector with an understanding of related business processes
