Welcome to the Citymesh Finance team! As a General Ledger Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth financial processes and accurate reporting. With a focus on ownership and collaboration, you will support our growing operations while contributing to innovation in finance. You’ll join a dynamic team where everyone has their own area of responsibility, including Accounting Experts, Finance Assistants, and Accounts Receivable specialists. This ensures a diverse scope of tasks and an opportunity to collaborate across various financial domains.

Here's what you'll dive into:

• Monthly closings: Take ownership in the preparation of the monthly statutory and business P&L. Ensuring the reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts like fixed assets, inventory, VAT from a legal and analytical perspective.
  
• Year-end audits: Ensure the compliance of our year-end closing balance and P&L account. Take up a coordinating role with our external auditors during year-end audits.
  
• Integration: Manage and assist in integrating financial processes of new acquisitions.
  
• Process optimization: Lead or contribute to ad hoc projects to optimize financial workflows and reporting.
  
• Bookkeeping: Handle daily bookkeeping tasks, including supplier payment reconciliations and support for accounts payable processes.
  

Must Have Qualities & Talents

• A proactive and detail-oriented team player with a strong passion for curiosity, innovation, and collaboration.
  
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role or within audit/financial services.
  
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as finance or accounting.
  
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
  
• Willingness to work on-site in Belgium at least three days per week.
