About the Role:
An established construction company in Surbiton is seeking a reliable and skilled Labourer to join their team. The successful candidate will support the construction and building teams across a range of projects, carrying out essential groundwork, site preparation, and general labouring duties. This role is perfect for someone with a hands-on approach and a desire to contribute to high-quality construction work.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with site preparation, including the clearing and cleaning of work areas.
• Handle and transport building materials to and from different parts of the site.
• Operate basic machinery and equipment as required (e.g., power tools, small plant).
• Assist tradespeople such as bricklayers, plasterers, and carpenters with various tasks.
• Maintain a tidy and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Load and unload deliveries, ensuring materials are stored correctly.
• Carry out basic groundwork and labouring tasks, including mixing and applying materials.
• Prepare and set up tools and materials for other tradespeople.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and assist with other site duties as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar skilled labourer or general labouring role within construction.
• Ability to handle manual tasks and work efficiently in a physically demanding environment.
• Good knowledge of construction site health and safety practices.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and small plant machinery safely and effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively on site.
• Full UK driving license (preferred but not essential).
• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

Desirable Skills:

• CSCS card holder.
• First Aid certification.
• Experience with various construction tasks and machinery.
