Electrician with Gas Experience

About the Role:
An established and reputable company based in Sutton is seeking an experienced Electrician with expertise in gas systems to join their commercial team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician with experience dealing with gas in a commercial setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and gas systems across various commercial properties, ensuring all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and gas installations in commercial settings, such as offices, retail units, and industrial properties.
• Perform routine inspections, servicing, and maintenance of electrical and gas systems to ensure safety and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical circuit and wiring issues, as well as gas system faults.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards for both electrical and gas systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding their electrical and gas installations.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all work carried out, including inspections, servicing, repairs, and certifications.
• Work collaboratively with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project delivery and completion.
• Respond to emergency repair requests and carry out fault finding in electrical and gas systems.
• Test and verify the functionality of both electrical and gas systems after repairs or installations.
• Ensure proper certification and documentation of gas works, including gas safety checks and certificates.
• Keep the work area clean and organised and ensure that all tools and equipment are well-maintained.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Fully qualified Electrician with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a commercial setting.
• Gas Safe registered (or equivalent) with experience in gas installations and servicing.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, circuits, and gas installations in commercial properties.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for both electrical and gas systems.
• In-depth understanding of health and safety standards related to electrical and gas works.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Full UK driving license (essential).

Desirable Skills:

• Experience managing commercial electrical and gas projects.
• Knowledge of energy-efficient systems and commercial HVAC systems.
• CSCS card holder.
