Barbers Cheesemakers is the oldest and largest family-owned cheddar makers in the world and produce our award winning cheeses in the same dairy that we did back in 1833!

We currently have a vacancy for a Level 2 Operative working Night shift, permanent nights Monday night to Saturday morning 21:45 to 06:15 in the dairy.
About the role:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining normal nightly running operations using logical reasoning and decision making and to Clean and CIP as per the company’s standard Operating procedures.
A level 2 Operative be required to take samples from the process and use equipment and/or systems to monitor and record results as well as support less experienced team members to improve job knowledge and pass on information between shifts and departments as required.
The successful candidate will be numerate and literate at secondary education level and have good IT skills. Knowledge and experience gained in operating within a food manufacturing environment is also essential.
