Job Title: Chef
Hours: 24 hours per week

Job Overview:
Join our team as a Chef, where you will play a key role in creating delicious, nutritious meals for our residents. Your responsibilities will include planning and preparing meals, maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene, and leading a motivated kitchen team. Flexible working days can be arranged, but you will need to work alternate weekends.
Key Responsibilities:

• Meal Planning: Design and prepare daily meals that are both nutritious and within budget, ensuring freshness and variety.
• Health & Safety: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards in the kitchen.
• Team Leadership: Lead and inspire the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Flexibility: Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Skills and Attributes:

• Experience: Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
• Culinary Skills: Strong cooking skills with expertise in a range of techniques.
• Nutritional Knowledge: Ability to craft menus that cater to various dietary needs.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Time Management: Efficient in managing time and working effectively under pressure.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Leadership: Experience in training and supervising kitchen staff.

Education and Qualifications:

• Food Hygiene: Level 2 Food Hygiene certification required; willingness to pursue Intermediate Food Hygiene qualifications.
• First Aid: First Aid certification needed.
• Catering: NVQ Level 2/3 in Food Preparation/Catering or equivalent qualifications.
