Deputy Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within a residential setting. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the management of our care home, ensuring that all residents receive the highest standard of care. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for individuals in assisted living and dementia care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily operations within the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Oversee medication administration and ensure that all staff are trained in proper procedures.
- Lead and support a team of caregivers, fostering an environment of teamwork and professional development.
- Conduct assessments of residents' needs and develop personalised care plans in collaboration with nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care, medication administration, and staff performance.
- Facilitate communication between residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
- Assist in training new staff members on policies, procedures, and best practices in home care.
- Promote a safe and welcoming environment for residents, ensuring their dignity and respect at all times.
- Proven experience in supervising staff within a home care or assisted living environment.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and dementia care practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Compassionate approach to caregiving with a focus on enhancing residents' quality of life.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- A background in nursing or relevant qualifications would be advantageous but not essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £31,139.00-£33,335.00 per year
