Chief Information Officer, Surveillance

Saab’s business area Surveillance is looking for a visionary Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our global information and technology landscape. This pivotal role requires strategic oversight of the entire IT ecosystem, from digital transformation and data governance to cybersecurity and enterprise systems. The CIO will be tasked with consolidating and executing on business demand, driving innovation, ensuring robust and compliant information and data management and aligning IT initiatives with business objectives on a global scale.

What you will be part of
The Chief Information Officer is part of the COO Management Team at Business Area Surveillance, reporting directly to the BA Chief Operating Officer and functionally to Saab Group CIO. Primary location can be any of our major sites, preferably Stockholm or Göteborg.

Your role

In this critical role, you will be accountable to:
- Contribute to Saab Group IT Strategy and develop Surveillance IT Strategy.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive information and IT plan aligned with our ambitious business goals, ensuring our IT capabilities and governance support our rapid growth and innovation.
- Act as the primary liaison between business leadership and the Group CIO
- Lead and inspire a high-performing IT and Information Management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee all aspects of IT, including business demand and delivery; cybersecurity and compliance; data and application management.
- Ensure the security and integrity of our critical data assets, implementing robust cybersecurity measures to protect against evolving threats.
- Collaborate closely with business leadership to align IT initiatives with overall business strategy across the organization and define and implement IT metrics to ensure overall performance.
- Ensure efficient and resilient IT operations globally, supporting day-to-day business functions, and optimizing cost structures
- Effectively collaborate with Saab Group IT towards the common goal of supporting our profitable business growth.

Required skills:
- Proven experience as a CIO or similar management role in an internationally regulated context.
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable IT initiatives.
- A deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data privacy including a proven track record of implementing robust security measures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate technical and subject matter experts as well as effectively managing stakeholders across the business.
- Advanced degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
