Your role
At Saab Avionics Systems, we are proud to present an exceptional opportunity for a visionary leader to spearhead our Saab Avionics Product Unit Product Management department. You'll be at the forefront of innovation, guiding the development and launch of cutting-edge avionics products within our specific portfolio.
Here you will join the Product Unit Avionics Management team as our Head of Products, leading a diverse and dynamic team. With multiple product families and products under your strategic guidance, you'll have the opportunity to shape and develop our innovative Avionics Product portfolio that support our company's growth drive. Our product portfolio is targeted for safe, secure, sustainable and efficient aviation applications.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing strategic plans for the overall Product portfolio.
• Overseeing and guiding the execution of complex product development, ensuring technically, timely delivery and quality outcomes.
• Managing a diverse team of managers, fostering open communication and a collaborative environment.
• Monitoring, analysing and reporting product contribution, performance and financial results of each of the product portfolios.
• Support in identifying new business opportunities and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
• Coordination of the Marketing and Business Support activities and prepare Operations Data packs including cost estimations, product descriptions etc.
• Coordination and organise the Design Authority and Configuration Management responsibilities for all products within the portfolio.

A relevant educational background would be considered a bonus.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

The Products department within PU Avionics is a product and customer centric organization which are responsible for the Product Management for the whole life cycle of our products with customers both from internally Saab and from the global Avionics market. The department has multiple sub-units, each headed by a separate manager, with an assigned product portfolio. The managers are also Product Owners for products within assigned portfolio.
