What we’re looking for
We are looking for an experienced radio optimization engineer in 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G able to identify radio interface issues, to propose traffic steering solutions in multiple layer environments.
What you’ll be doing
- Execute software cell-alignment.
- Detect and report to authorities (ANCOM) the radio spectrum disturbance/frequency jam to ensure service quality
- Detect areas affected by intra-system and inter-system interference, analyze and propose solutions, on field radio measurements in order to identify better technical solution to be used
- Periodically monitoring the performance statistics (KPIs), on field measurements & quality analysis; based on all available information takes decision upon changes in HW & SW parameters in order to improve network KPIs
- Take part in in special projects / trials involving radio access network side
- Validate and implement/request tuning to site radio acceptance, after any evolution in the site configuration (new sites, sectors modification, aerials change, azimuth and tilt change, so)
- Initiate and follow-up work orders, CTT in order to improve the performance of network functionality
- Ensure proper functioning of the software and the hardware
- Give technical assistance to solve quality issues (NCR)
- Ask for re-designing the problematic radio sites
- Initiate and participate to field optimization campaigns in order to improve the network quality of large clusters in the assigned area
- Request new sites or sites modifications in the assigned area based on documented network quality and coverage problems identified locally in the field
- Follow-up of customer complaints, identify commonalities of customer complaints from specific areas and notify regional radio optimizers of the findings
What you need to know/have
- University degree - Technical University (preferably specialization in radio);
- Experience in knowledge and understanding of wireless technologies for more than 5 years;
- Knowledge of Qo S problems in radio networks;
- good knowledge of the KPI radio network analysis tools Net An, U2020, ENM,ENIQ, Net An;
- Drive test post processing tools -Actix;
- Knowledge of the BSS equipment;
- Knowledge of GIS related software (Map Info, Covexpert);
- Knowledge of English;
- MS Office;
- Driver license;
