Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess over 10+ years of professional accounting experience, demonstrating expertise in financial management, reporting, and compliance within construction or related industries.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Monitor project budgets, cost controls, and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to management.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, income tax, and other statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure timely resolution of any findings.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Assist in the preparation of financial models, feasibility studies, and cash flow management for construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to ensure accurate recording of project expenses and revenues.
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering professional growth.
• Provide financial guidance to support strategic business decisions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and construction-specific accounting practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Tally, or ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with construction contracts, project costing, and WIP (Work in Progress) reporting.

Pay: RO500.000 - RO650.000 per month
