Senior Executive Manager (Women and Family Affairs)

(a) a bachelor degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;
(b) Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (See Note 1);
(c) eight years of post-qualification full-time work experience or more in general administration, including at least three years of full-time work experience at managerial level and in staff supervision. Relevant work experience in administering funding schemes, organising large-scale events or project management in the Government or public bodies is an advantage;
(d) good command of written Chinese and English, fluent Cantonese and English with basic knowledge of Putonghua;
(e) good command of computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Chinese word processing; and
(f) strong leadership, organisation, analytical and planning skills, good communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and under pressure.

(b) To assist in planning and executing activities and programmes under the Women and Family Affairs Division of Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, including drawing up implementation details, co-ordinating with Government departments, non-governmental organisations and/or other stakeholders in service delivery, recruiting participants, supervising the performance of contractors, etc.;
(c) To provide secretariat support to the committees/working groups/task forces under the Women and Family Affairs Division, including preparing meeting papers, drafting reports and minutes, and following up on views and proposals, etc;
(d) To oversee and manage thematic website, and monitor the development of computer system and database;
(e) To oversee general administrative matters;
(f) To supervise the work of his/her subordinates; and
(g) To perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers, including performing work outside normal office hours.
(b) In addition to statutory holidays, 12 days paid annual leave, maternity/paternity leave, and sickness allowance will be granted to the appointee. Details of which will be confirmed at the time of the offer of appointment.

(f) It is the Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled candidate meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection interview/written examination without being subject to any further shortlisting criteria.
(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
The new version of application form for Government jobs G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) has been in use with effect from 26 July 2023. Candidates who apply for Government jobs advertised on or after 26 July 2023 should use the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023). If candidates submit the old version form (G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013)), they will be required to fill in the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) afresh and submit it within seven days upon request. If candidates fail to submit the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) within the stipulated deadline, their applications will not be processed further.

(a) A detailed description of duties of all full-time employments, in particular, relevant work experience in administration of funding schemes, event organisation and project management;
(b) Copies of official transcripts/diplomas/certificates of academic qualifications, and documentary proofs of working experience; and
(c) A piece of writing in Chinese or English in not more than 200 words explaining why you are interested in applying for this post.
If application is made by post, candidates should ensure that the correct address is clearly printed or written on the envelope and sufficient postage is affixed before posting to avoid unsuccessful delivery of application. Any underpaid mail items will be returned or disposed of by the Hongkong Post. Candidates should bear any consequences arising from paying insufficient postage. Applications which are late, incomplete, not made in prescribed form, submitted by fax / email, or without the documents (a) to (c) as mentioned above will not be considered.
Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation in about four to six weeks from the closing date for application. Those who are not invited for interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
