Term Assistant Lecturer (Computer and Electronic Engineering)

Subject Areas:

Computer and Electronic Engineering (subjects include: Analogue & Digital Electronics, Embedded Systems, Object-oriented and Mobile Device Programming, Telecommunication Technology, Immersive Augmented and Virtual Reality Engineering, Network Mobile Application Development, Io T Planning & Deployment)


Major Duties:

(a)
To perform teaching duties and assist in supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement;

(b)
To assist in carrying out duties in relation to student and academic administration;

(c)
To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; and

(d)
To participate in campus / discipline / departmental projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.


Requirements:

(a)
A recognised degree in Computer and Electronic Engineering or equivalent or professional qualification, preferably with a relevant post-graduate qualification;

(b)
Preferably with relevant teaching and/or industry experience;

(c)
Good communication, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese; and

(d)
Experience in curriculum and training material development and instructional design is an advantage.


Notes:

(1)
The post is at the rank of Teaching Associate.

(2)
Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment.

(3)
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus.
