Subject Areas:

Electrical Engineering (subjects include: Electrical Machines and Drives, Electrical Power System, Electrical Installation, Lighting Technology and System Design, Control & Automation Systems, Electronic Devices, Digital Electronics and Microprocessor Fundamentals, and Electrical Instrumentation & Measurement)

Major Duties:

(a)

To perform teaching duties and assist in supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement;

(b)

To assist in carrying out duties in relation to student and academic administration;

(c)

To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; and

(d)

To participate in campus / discipline / departmental projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.

Requirements:

(a)

A recognised degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent or professional qualification, preferably with a relevant post-graduate qualification;

(b)

Preferably with relevant teaching and/or industry experience;

(c)

Good communication, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese; and

(d)

Experience in curriculum and training material development and instructional design is an advantage.

(1)

The post is at the rank of Teaching Associate.

(2)

Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment.

(3)

The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus.
