Term Lecturer (Elderly Care Services)

Major Duties:

(a)

To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement;

(b)

To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;

(c)

To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning, and assessment materials;

(d)

To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and

(e)

To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental / discipline projects, and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars, and exhibitions.

Requirements:

(a)

A recognised degree in Nursing or professional qualification; preferably with a post-graduate qualification;

(b)

For the candidates with Nursing qualification, they should be the Registered Nurse with the Hong Kong Nursing Council and holding valid practicing certificate.

(c)

At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience in the field of nursing;

(d)

Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; and

(e)

Good records of connection with the industry or professional bodies would be an advantage.

Notes:

(1)

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.

(2)

Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.
