Term Assistant Lecturer (Special Educational Needs)

Major Duties:

(a)

To carry out duties in relation to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and academic administration namely special assessment arrangement, exemption and related logistic arrangement;

(b)

To provide additional tutorial support, remedial classes, mentorship, or other related teaching activities to support the learning of students with SEN;

(c)

To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials, specifically for students with SEN;

(d)

To provide support in coordinating and implementing dedicated services for students with SEN;

(e)

To perform teaching duties and assist in supervision of student projects; and

(f)

To arrange and lead student personal growth and/or career development programmes.

Requirements:

(a)

A relevant recognised degree, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;

(b)

Experience in teaching and supporting students with SEN will be an advantage;

(c)

Strong interest and motivation, be caring in working with students with SEN;

(d)

Well-versed in e-learning; and

(e)

Preferably with knowledge in the Mathematics subjects.

Notes:

(1)

The post is at the rank of Teaching Associate.

(2)

Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment.

(3)

The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned.

(4)

Candidates who are immediately available are preferred.
