JOB TITLE: Logistics Coordinator
LOCATION: Cartagena, Colombia
TYPE: On Site
SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Temp to Perm


DESCRIPTION:


We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize the transportation and supply chain operations for our oil and gas projects. The ideal candidate will ensure the timely and efficient delivery of materials, equipment, and resources while maintaining strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.


RESPONSABILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Coordinate the movement of materials and equipment to and from drilling sites, refineries, and storage facilities.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to reduce costs and improve delivery efficiency.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure proper storage of materials.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and freight companies to meet project deadlines.
  • Ensure all transportation and logistics operations comply with local, national, and international regulations.
  • Maintain documentation related to permits, customs clearance, and safety requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between field operations, procurement, and warehouse teams.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on delivery schedules and potential delays.
  • Address and resolve logistics-related challenges such as route optimization, weather disruptions, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Implement safety protocols in all logistics operations.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance.


REQUISITOS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain coordination, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with international shipping and customs processes.
  • Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain (e.g., CLTD, CSCP).
  • Office-based with occasional travel to field sites or supplier facilities.
  • May require working extended hours during critical project phases.
