Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. A fabulous opportunity is now available for a Registered Nurse to work with the amazing Oncology Hematology team. This position on offer is a Permanent Full time role and situated at Nepean Hospital.

Working with the Oncology Hematology team will see you effectively communicate with patients, consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to ensure the provision of safe, compassionate quality care. At all times you will develop and maintain professional knowledge and skills consistent with the role of a registered nurse.

This position will see you be responsible and accountable for clinical practice, training and education activities, critical reflection, professional development and performance review in order to continuously improve the level of service provided to patients.

What you will bring to the role:

Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)

Demonstrated experience and clinical skill as a Registered Nurse (including completion of a new graduate year or equivalent experience working as a registered Nurse).

Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.

Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work

Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills

Demonstrated commitment to professional development

Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team

Ability to work a flexible roster, day evening or night shift across all days of the week.

Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
