Applications are invited from suitably qualified medical practitioners for the above part time position in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. The position will be primarily located at Nepean Hospital and Nepean Clinical School within the Department of Women’s Health- Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
Successful applicants will provide both subspecialist Urogynaecology and a component of general obstetric and Gynaecological services. These may include admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient and on call services as determined and required by the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health Network (NBMLHD). Appointees may be required to participate in other on call rosters at nominated facilities within NBMLHD as determined by clinical operations.

- Possess or be eligible for registration with Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) and possess a Qualification as a Certified Urogynaecologist by RANZCOG and/or equivalent specialist recognition as provided for by the Health Insurance Act 1997 and Staff Specialist (State Award) and Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
- Sound clinical knowledge in Obstetrics & Gynaecology particularly in the subspecialty of Urogynaecology demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position including evidence of participation in quality assurance activities relevant to the specialty.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and junior medical staff supervision consistent with contemporary best practice supervision standards. Agreeable to train future CU trainees in the department
- Demonstrates the skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical /Dental Practitioner including modelling of a high standard of professional behaviour to junior medical staff.
- Sound clinical knowledge in the subspecialty of Urogynaecology demonstrated by relevant qualifications and/or appropriate post-Fellowship clinical experience. Enthusiastic in setting up related services like public Urodynamic studies clinic, incontinence services, etc.
- Familiarity with research concepts and commitment to support basic, applied, or clinical research as required within the Department
Conditions of appointment are in accordance with the Health Services Act 1997, and Staff Specialists (State) Award.
