An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Women’s Health Physiotherapist to join our team as a Grade 3 Women’s Health Physiotherapist in a full or part time temporary capacity until June 2025.

About the role

This Grade 3 Physiotherapy position provides you with the opportunity to work with our dedicated Women’s Health team in the Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s Hospital, where you will provide care to women across the lifespan. The clinical caseload includes chronic pelvic pain; complex bladder, bowel, or pelvic floor dysfunction; and the Obstetric Anal Sphincter Injury (OASI) clinic. You will also have the opportunity to observe our physiotherapy-led urogynaecology Advanced Practice Clinic and Australia’s first Pelvic Organ Prolapse Physiotherapy Led Pessary (POPPY) Advanced Practice Clinic.

You will join a team dedicated to holistic patient-centred care, delivering excellent patient outcomes, and providing evidence-based practice. You will work collaboratively with our other senior clinicians, provide leadership within the Women’s Health team, and be involved in research and quality improvement activities. This position is supported by our Grade 4 Women’s Health Physiotherapist, and you will have access to key resources for success, such as supervision, tailored learning opportunities and departmental and advanced practice specific professional development. This provides an excellent opportunity to further develop assessment and management skills and work within a supported Women’s Health and multi-disciplinary pelvic floor team.

To be Successful in this Role you will:

Have well-developed clinical skills for working in Women’s Health as well as experience in supervising staff and students
Have a Post graduate certificate/Masters in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy.
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work collaboratively with the Physiotherapy and Multidisciplinary teams
Ensure safe and high quality patient care is delivered in line with Western Health values and Live Best Care framework
