HVAC Project Engineer required for expanding family run company based in Halesowen.
Candidate must have a proven track record with at least 5 years field experience in the UK.
Must be competent in managing air conditioning and ventilation projects [installation, service & retro-fit] in a variety of sectors, including knowledge of basic analogue controls and associated HVAC services. Experience with restaurant and kitchen ventilation an advantage.
Ability to manage engineers, sub-contractors, build a good working relationship with clients and partners, and have a good understanding of budgets and cost control.
Design knowledge and or experience an advantage, basic HVAC calculations, knowledge of air principles and building regulations desirable.
The ideal person will be able to work under pressure in a team environment, demonstrate clear thinking, write RAMs, produce O&M manuals, read drawings and have initiative to execute projects the company are involved in.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
-Manage the installation of HVAC services for various clients throughout the UK
-Attend and report on pre-start meetings and subsequent meetings throughout the contract
-Procure subcontract labour, materials and ancillary items.
-Keep clients and company updated on all matters.
-Ensure installations are completed within target dates and budgets.
-Must be computer literate, self-motivated, personable and able to work independently as part of a team and liaise effectively at all levels.
ONC/HNC qualification in Building Services (HVAC) preferred but not essential, dependent upon experience.
- Candidates will have a proven track record of building strong professional relationships and project management.
- The successful individual should have excellent written and verbal skills, be fully IT literate and must be competent with working from Auto CAD drawings.
