The role
We are looking for a commercially driven HR Manager who will work closely with our leadership team to support the business to deliver effective people processes.
You will be the go-to person for all people related areas, helping our line managers get the best from every team member across our teams based in the UK, US and Australia.
Your HR Generalist duties will involve supervising our US based HR Officer and overseeing our centralised HR service, ranging across the full employee life cycle, engagement and wellbeing initiatives, benefits management, labour law compliance, employee relations, HR projects, L&D and much more. Embedding our values and positive culture is a vital aspect of this role, ensuring our business strives to retain a motivated and happy team where everyone can perform at their best.
About You
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law (additional knowledge of US or Australian employment law would also be an advantage)
- Naturally approachable, keen to help and committed to completing tasks efficiently

- Trustworthy, fully aware of the importance of confidentiality and discretion at all times
- Review and update HR policies and handbooks to reflect best practices and comply with legal standards
- Oversee recruitment and selection, ensuring effective time and cost to hire and immigration compliance
- Handle Employee Relations and change management effectively, coaching line managers to manage concerns and process confidently and quickly
- Manage HR systems and suppliers, ensuring compliance (GDPR/ISO), service levels and value for money
- Onboarding and offboarding, including induction process and exit interviews
- Develop and oversee Company training plan and L&D initiatives, help line managers support their team members to drive their own performance and career development
- Ensure all HR information is managed accurately (eg payroll process, benefit renewals, budgets and suppliers)
- Provide support to the CFO with our serviced office and Company Health & Safety duties
- Oversee employee benefits and reward, identify opportunities alongside supporting pay reviews and benchmarking
- Provide coaching and advice to line managers and leaders, helping them to use their judgement and be less reliant on HR
- Nurture a positive working environment for all staff, through support from mental health initiatives and maintaining wellbeing resources
- Organising team events, Company wide meetings and social activities
- Supervise our US based HR Officer, ensuring consistent service is maintained across all teams
- Ensure any HR policies, procedures and training adhere to our Information and Security Management System (IS027001) which is instrumental in safeguarding the confidentiality and security of our information assets
- Proven working experience in a similar ‘hands-on’ generalist role (min 4 years) in a fast paced environment
- CIPD qualified
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and best practice
- Knowledge or experience of working with labour laws in other countries (ideally in US / Australia)
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines and work context switching
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the business
- Excellent organisational and prioritising skills
- Solutions focused and a collaborative team player
- Degree, ideally in Human Resources / Business or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience or interest working in a Global business
- Previous experience or interest working in a Saa S / similar business sector
