Wholesale Sales Manager
R Owton Wholesale Butchers, based in West End, Southampton and servicing the south since 1976. Opportunity due to resignation of one of our two Wholesale Sales Manager's. With a new purpose built factory, 3 retail sites, 130 employees and 32 of our own delivery vehicles we are well positioned in the market with a quality product and service offering.
The Job:
- Office based and reporting directly into the business owner.
- Wholesale sales only, our catering sales are handled separately.
- Daily sales and management of an already very well established customer database with the ability to increase earnings by up selling and bringing on new business.
- Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturday mornings.
The Candidate:
· Meat industry sales experience is a must.
- 90% office based near Hedge End, Southampton, with some flexibility to visit customers.
- Good computer literacy.
- Be a professional and confident communicator with the ability to work well as part of a small team but also productive in delivering on your own personal tasks.
- Must demonstrate enthusiasm, energy and passion along with a ‘can do’ attitude. We want someone who can grow with the role not a clock watcher who isn't motivated to learn and earn.
- Good numeracy skills and attention to detail
