Job Title: ESG Specialist
Salary: circa £35,000 per annum
Working Hours: 37.5 per week, 8.30am until 5pm

Role Purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced ESG Specialist to join our team. This role will play a pivotal part in driving ESG initiatives, ensuring the measurement, monitoring, and validation of the metrics by creating our ESG program. This role requires a confident communicator, capable of liaising with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and presenting complex ideas in a clear and business-friendly manner. You will also develop and deliver training or awareness programs for staff. In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing TMT First’s mission to extend the lifecycle of technology, thereby contributing to the reduction of e-waste and the preservation of valuable resources.

Duties:
ESG Communication & Reporting:
- Liase with SLT by effectively communicating sustainability progress and challenges.
- Design and manage dashboards to monitor and report on sustainability metrics, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Produce comprehensive reports on ESG performance, developing actionable insights from data analysis.
- Will be involved in setting ESG strategy, as well as focus on implementation and monitoring.
- Measure, monitor, and validate metrics to ensure alignment with our sustainability goals.
- Conduct thorough data analysis, manipulate large datasets, and generate insightful reports to support business needs.
- Provide data support across the business, ensuring that all ESG-related decisions are data-driven and well-informed.
- Utilise Microsoft Excel and other methods to present ESG data, adapting to new technologies as and when required.
- Lead initiatives on Greenhouse Gas (GHG) accounting, net-zero strategies, and other key sustainability projects.
- Ensure adherence to leading ESG reporting frameworks and standards, such as GHG principles and social value metrics.
- Monitor compliance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other relevant sustainability guidelines.
- Confidently engage with the SLT, presenting complex ESG concepts in an understandable manner.
- Effectively communicate ESG initiatives to the whole company.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed ESG principles into the company’s strategic objectives.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparent and effective communication.
- Proven experience in working on sustainability projects and ESG initiatives.
- Proficiency in Greenhouse Gas principles, GHG accounting, net-zero strategies, and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
- Familiarity with social value metrics and leading ESG reporting frameworks.
- Strong ability to manipulate large datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other applications for reporting.
- Experience designing dashboards and monitoring sustainability progress.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong multitasking abilities, capable of meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently without direct supervision.
- Experience presenting to diverse audiences and collaborating with senior leaders.
- Team player with strong collaborative skills and proficiency in time and project management.
