CONNEX COMMUNITY SUPPORT Job Description: Digital Inclusion Services Coordinator
This Description issued: 13 November 2024
Duration: 1 January - 30 June 2025 (extension subject to funding)
Contracted Hours: 14 hours per week (job share possible)
Salary: £28,163 p.a. pro rata (£10,656 p.a. actual)
Probationary Period: 3 months
Based at: Ashbourne office or remote but in person attendance at support sessions required
Area Covered: Ashbourne and Wirksworth, occasionally other locations in the Southern Derbyshire Dales
Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer
Purpose: To coordinate our Tea, Talk and Tech service, mitigating digital exclusion and social isolation, both at home and in community hubs across the Derbyshire Dales and contribute to the development of the service.
Responsibilities:
1. To organise and run the agreed activities for the service, including group sessions in community hubs and home visits supported by volunteers, ensuring that funding obligations are met.
2. Be the first point of contact for service users, including new ones, making sure a) their needs are sensitively and correctly assessed b) the appropriate support is arranged, where possible through the help of Connex volunteers or where needed through other Connex staff or an external organisation
3. Regularly review service user needs so that the support provided by the service meets their needs.
4. Engage frequently and methodically with service users, volunteers and other stakeholders to ascertain feedback on the service and to what extent the outcomes of the provision meet expectations.
5. Recruit, induct and supervise volunteers to help with the delivery of the service, and ensure their ongoing development through appropriate support and training.
6. Ensure the effective promotion of the service and of volunteering opportunities through all available options, including print, online, liaising with other Connex staff as well as through networking and talks at external organisations.
7. Collate all monitoring data required to demonstrate the outcomes and quality of the service and prepare the relevant reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £28,163.00 per year
