Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, manage and negotiate a range of contracts across the business, including purchase and supply agreements, sale agreements and a range of other areas
• Working with the Head of Legal and projects and origination teams to develop bespoke contracts solutions for the business’s strategic needs
• Collaborating actively with senior leadership to develop policies and standard practices across the business
• Develop and administer boilerplate contracts for various repeated needs, reviewing needs as necessary
• Utilise your knowledge of the law to develop effective and creative solutions to issues as they arise
• Build and maintain strong relationships with a network of internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• Relevant experience working with construction contracts, for instance FIDIC, EPC, and JCT forms
• At least 3 years’ experience working with contracts in a commercial setting, ideally within the energy sector
• Organised, methodical and a keen eye for detail
• A working understanding of contract law, with knowledge of the energy sector
• The ability to work as an individual in conjunction with various other teams, both legal and commercial
• A commitment to self-improvement and a thirst for knowledge
• A strong understanding of Intellectual property matters in contracting would also go a long way
• Must be able to commute to Cheltenham, as this role is fully office-based.
• Eligible to work permanently in the UK
