Our client is a US-based global company that works on security services, blocking advanced attacks including malware, botnets, and phishing threats. We aim to improve the current firewall system with the client by making it more secure and less costly to maintain.
The plan is to reduce the amount of resources the firewall uses, and make it cheaper, but still just as effective. This will require a lot of work from engineers, who will figure out what can be simplified or removed without compromising the firewall’s performance.

IF YOU ARE

• A software engineer with at least 3 years of experience in C / C++ development
• Experienced with Linux/Unix systems programming, including file systems, processes, and signals
• Skilled in optimizing network applications for low latency and high throughput
• Familiar with networking topologies and common protocols, services, and concepts including TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, OSI Model, and routing/switching
• Strong in problem-solving and troubleshooting complex technical issues
• Skilled in system engineering
• Knowledgeable in memory, CPU, and disk optimization techniques
• Practiced in other programming languages like Python and Go
• Knowledgeable of ARM architecture
• Capable of maintaining business communication with clients in English
• Experienced with the Data Plane Development Kit (would be a plus)
• Practiced in cybersecurity technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and IPS (as an advantage)
