WFP uses a combination of food and cash assistance to support communities affected by the war. This includes working with local partners to distribute food boxes in areas near the frontline and providing cash transfers in locations where people have access to banks and markets to buy food. Since March 2022, WFP has distributed food and cash assistance equivalent to 3.01 billion meals to people displaced and affected by the war.

- Support the design, development, rollout, and implementation of livelihood and resilience activities ensuring alignment with wider programme policies and guidance.
- Provide programme management support, including the use of financial resources, to the resilience and livelihood interventions, ensuring a coordinated approach with other programmes.
- Liaise with cooperating partners to oversee the implementation of ongoing livelihood and resilience programmes in operational areas, ensuring effective, efficient, and timely implementation.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities, technical departments, and other livelihoods and resilience actors, to ensure effective coordination and collaboration.
- Support the identification, development, and management of potential partnerships for resilience and livelihood programmes.
- Contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely reporting on programmes and activities that enable informed decision making and consistency of information presented to stakeholders.
- Support research and assessments in support of livelihood and resilience strategy and programme development and design, in close liaison with the Research Assessment and Monitoring (RAM) team.
- Support in conducting community engagement, ensuring community-based design and implementation of resilience and livelihood activities, in close coordination with local authorities, technical departments, and relevant food systems actors.
- Produce timely feedback to community members, local authorities, and relevant food systems actors on activity implementation and monitoring, including issues, challenges, implementation timelines and decisions made, in accordance with agreed protocols.
- Liaise with the Research Assessment and Monitoring (RAM) team to develop sound monitoring and evaluation plans, ensuring learning and accountability.
- Support the capacity building of cooperating partners and local authorities within the specific technical area, providing them guidance and consultations on the operational activities.
- Provide guidance and leadership to junior staff, and other Programme team members.
- Other tasks as required.
- Has deepened technical knowledge on the areas of agriculture, livelihoods, resilience, value chains, and/or food systems.
- Has taken leadership in implementing and coordinating programs and managing cooperating partners.
- Has provided input into livelihoods and resilience strategy and policy discussions.
- Good reporting and writing skills.
- Data analysis skills.
- Experience in WFP, or other UN-specific livelihoods and Resilience programs is an added advantage.
- Education: Advanced university degree, or first University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses in agricultural sciences, agricultural economics, agribusiness, economics, or other fields relevant to international development assistance.

Experience: A minimum of 1-year post-graduate professional and relevant work experience in program design and management, in the areas of agriculture, livelihoods, resilience, food systems, or other fields relevant to international development assistance.

Language: Proficient in both oral and written Ukrainian and English languages.
