Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team for a temporary position (6 months, extendable) in Al Khor, Al Ruwais, and Leghwairiya, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Facility Management, with a focus on mechanical systems and maintenance. You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repairs, and daily operations of mechanical systems in various facilities. This role requires the ability to manage and troubleshoot mechanical systems efficiently, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Facility Management: Oversee and ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical systems in facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• System Repairs & Upgrades: Plan and implement repairs and system upgrades, ensuring all mechanical systems are in line with industry standards and regulations.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all mechanical systems are compliant with relevant local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and performance logs. Prepare regular reports to track the condition and performance of mechanical systems.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Facility Management team and other engineers to ensure smooth coordination and timely completion of tasks.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for system repairs and upgrades, ensuring the best quality service and materials are used.
• Project Management: Assist in managing and executing mechanical projects within the facility, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in Facility Management, with a focus on mechanical systems maintenance and operations.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and building systems. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices related to mechanical systems.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to effectively communicate with team members, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Location Flexibility: Willing to work across multiple locations in Al Khor, Al Ruwais, and Leghwairiya.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: Additional certifications in mechanical systems or Facility Management will be a plus.
• Experience in the Middle East: Experience working in the Middle East, especially Qatar, is highly preferred.
