Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to lead a team of Medical Technologists in a dynamic and high-performing laboratory environment. In this critical role, you will oversee clinical testing operations while ensuring the safety, accuracy, and reliability of test results. The Laboratory Supervisor will also take charge of daily operations, quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and mentorship of staff, contributing to accurate diagnostic and treatment decisions for patients.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform complex clinical testing while ensuring compliance with Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA '88) and maintaining safety and accuracy standards.
• Lead, guide, and mentor laboratory staff, ensuring their continuous development, training, and performance evaluations.
• Implement and manage quality improvement initiatives and cost-control strategies, ensuring high-quality patient care is maintained.
• Collaborate with other departments in cross-functional activities to ensure seamless patient care.
• Oversee laboratory operations, including the formulation of policies and effective resource management.
• Ensure laboratory compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Demonstrate expertise in Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
• Manage "on-call" responsibilities as needed to ensure continuous lab operations.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of acute care experience as a Medical Technologist.
• Licensure: Florida Licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required.
• Certifications: Medical Laboratory Technologist (MT).
