Job Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Software Engineer / Developer based either in Accra, Ghana or Lagos, Nigeria.
- collaborating with Business Systems Analysts to design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-quality business software solutions that meet organizational and user needs.
- ensuring adherence to industry best practices, coding standards, and continuous improvement processes.
- Note: our main software development tool is Claris File Maker, a Rapid Application Development environment (often presented as low code, though we do a lot of coding with it!).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Computer Science and Software Development skills.
- Strong programming skills, proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Experience in creating and maintaining software applications.
- Knowledge of relational databases design and programming (SQL).
- Familiarity with cloud computing and services as well as version control systems/methodologies.
- Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and development lifecycles.
