Mo te tunga | About the role

FLOW was been created as a result of the Police operational model, Whängaia Ngä Pä Harakeke (WNPH). FLOW was designed by the Whanganui community in response to Family Harm and involves a collaborative approach where Police partner with Iwi, Community agencies and providers to meet the needs of our whanau experiencing family harm to ensure they receive the appropriate support and assistance. The FLOW office is located at Tupoho House, 249 Victoria Ave, Whanganui.

The Administrator role is designed to successfully engage with whanau experiencing family harm and assist with navigation of agencies including GO's and NGO's working under the FLOW umbrella. The Administrator will play a pivotal role in the daily operation of FLOW and our commitment to our community. This is a key role that includes participation in the daily multi-agency Safety Assessment Meetings (SAM). The Administrator is currently responsible for preparation of supporting documents prior to the SAM meeting and recording relevant shared information as required. They also provide timely and accurate administrative support for the wider FLOW work group.

The Administrator will be a good communicator with proficient computer skills required to access the Police National Intelligence Application, (NIA) Family Safety System, (FSS) and generic applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Training to use NIA and FSS will be provided.

The role will be challenging and varied and will require a commitment to upholding the values of both the Police and Iwi, who are an integral part of the FLOW team.

Utu a-tau | Salary


This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $63,526 and $65,385 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
