Receptionist/Administrator - NIWA

NIWA is New Zealand's leading environmental research institute and key provider of atmospheric, freshwater and marine research and consultancy services in New Zealand.
We are seeking a Receptionist / Administrator to join our Christchurch team to provide friendly and efficient reception service to NIWA staff and clients. This position plays an integral part of the smooth running of our office in a supportive team environment.
Duties include:

Front of house reception duties
Administrative support to site staff
Catering and function coordination
Travel bookings
Health and Safety support for staff out in the field
Equipment maintenance

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of administration experience, along with the flexibility to work with a wide range of people and a willingness to help others. Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail are key, along with a high level of oral and written communication. In this busy reception and administration role, the ability to multi-task and remain professional under pressure will be an advantage.
A Certificate in Business Administration and Computing (Level 3) or equivalent, advanced level skills in MS Office desktop applications and general competency in IT systems is preferred.
