Lotus Cars Europe B.V. is responsible for the Marketing, Sales and After Sales of the Lotus Cars products in the European region. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel in the Legal and Compliance Department to join us in our European HQ based in Amsterdam.

Summary:
The Senior Legal Counsel, in direct report to the Head of Legal and Compliance, will be the legal business partner to the European Team providing legal support for a diverse range of legal matters, especially related to Commercial law.
Ideal candidates for this role will have strong business acumen and experience in continuous improvement and driving enhancements that benefit an organization.

What you'll do:

• Provide advice on all legal matters to senior management and employees from several group companies.

• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts.

• Provide practical advice to business leaders on operational aspects and consumer protection legal matters, and on how to ensure compliance with these legal requirements across various consumer-facing channels.

• Identify and address Corporate Secretariat, data protection, competition and consumer regulatory issues in the region.

• Analyse potential legal risks to establish and implement solutions to mitigate those risks and achieve business objectives.

• Manage external law firms for specialised legal advice.

• Increase efficiency of legal operations by developing and maintaining procedures, guidelines, internal training.

What you'll bring:

• At least 7 years of experience in Dutch and EU commercial law managing teams and legal projects in a complex environment, ideally in automotive premium brand.
• Previous experience in supporting business partner as Dutch qualified lawyer able to provide in-house legal advice to a Dutch company and EU subsidiaries.
• Excellent communication/relationship building skills with an ability to influence at all levels both internally and externally.
• Excellent communication skills with a full proficiency in English. Dutch and any other additional European language is highly desirable.
• Team player who has a strong sense of ownership as well as collaborative and supportive.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills with a big picture vision.
