Solution Analyst – Loyalty

Role Introduction

Reports to:
Senior Solution Lead

This role is part of the Solution Centre in our Information Technology (IMT) department, who strive to be at the forefront of technological innovations and provide a seamless experience for our customers.
As the Solution Analyst, you will play a crucial role in translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications. You will work closelywith both internal and external stakeholders to drive the end-to-end solution development of software applications,ensuring the delivery of high-quality, user-friendly applications which reflect Cathay’s vision to becoming one of the world’s greatest service brands.
With your expertise and skills in solution delivery, you will be an integral part of our Loyalty solution team to work on the system which support our market-leading loyalty program –Asia Miles, gaining exposure in customer loyalty program operations in an environment which also fully embraces Agile and CI/CD.
Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse requirements and assess detailed solutions options from a system perspective
  • Support solution design and contribute expertise to ensure high level design decisions can be delivered
  • Perform conversion, creation, alignment, traceability and successful mapping requirements into functional and technical specifications
  • Ensure requirements are mapped and documented to functional and technical specifications for software development projects
  • Oversee application development vendors on development and implementation work as required
  • Carry out level 2 and level 3 incident support for in-production systems and manage end user expectations
  • Oversees QA on development of all solution components to ensure requirements and all relevant Cathay standards are being met
  • Keep abreast of the business strategy, business plan and latest industrial trends
Requirements

  • At least 3 years in application development and support
  • Experience in programming with languages like Java and AWS platform
  • Hands-on experience in backend development and implementation is a must
  • Proficiency in Mongo DB, Kafka will be advantageous
  • Tertiary education is essential
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively
  • Experience in airline industry or customer loyalty program is a plus
  • Knowledge in CI/CD, Dev Ops and Agile or Lean principles is preferred
  • Good understanding of the latest technological trends
  • Good command in verbal and written English
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Solution Specialist
