As a Nurse Unit Manager within the Cancer Unit, you will be at the forefront of coordinating and leading patient care delivery, ensuring the highest standards of care and outcomes for our patients. You will utilise your clinical expertise to lead and manage a team of nursing, midwifery, and multidisciplinary professionals, focusing on continuity of care and fostering a collaborative environment that enhances patient experiences and outcomes. Your leadership will be instrumental in developing team performance, addressing practice inconsistencies, and maintaining a positive and supportive work culture.
In this role, you will be accountable for both nursing and multidisciplinary outcomes, ensuring they align with organisational policies and best practices. As part of the Cancer Program leadership team, you will play a key role in achieving strategic, operational, and financial goals, driving excellence in patient care. About You
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead our Cancer Unit team. To be successful in this role, you will bring the following key qualities:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a practising certificate.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in conflict resolution and team management.
- Proven ability to enhance care models, focusing on person-centred approaches and driving change management.
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-registration experience, with a background in management, staff development, and consumer engagement.
