An exciting opportunity exists for nurses with Recovery or ICU/HDU nursing skill to lead the way internationally in a new model of care which reduces the number of post-operative complications, leading to reduced LOS and readmission to hospital. Patients in ARRC have an overnight stay in 4C with 1:2 nursing ratio and regular anaesthesia reviews to intervene immediately should deterioration occur, they are then discharged to their home ward in the morning or to ICU if the patient remains unstable.
RN1 - Seeking experienced Recovery/ICU Registered Nurses classified at this level to provide nursing and/or midwifery services within the Advanced Recovery Room Care setting. Employees working within this level develop from novice practitioners to a proficient level of professional practice. They consolidate knowledge and skills and develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience. An employee at this level accepts accountability for his or her own standards of nursing/midwifery care and for activities delegated to others.
About You
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Registered Nurse who demonstrates a passion for delivering high-quality, client-focused care. You will bring the following qualities and skills to the role:
- Registered Nurse with current practising certificate: Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligible for registration.
- Effective communicator and team player: Strong skills in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous improvement: Passionate about professional development and providing innovative, flexible care solutions.
- Competent and knowledgeable: Sound understanding of nursing practice, relevant legislation, and quality improvement systems in a healthcare setting.
