Job Summary
This position will support the university’s operations and strategic initiatives by developing advanced financial models, performing complex financial analysis, and providing strategic insights to optimize resource allocation and financial planning. This role requires mastery in financial analysis, a solid ability to learn and integrate new technologies, and exceptional skills in optimizing existing tools and processes. It is essential for leveraging technology and automation tools to modernize financial processes, enhance financial transparency, and improve performance analytics across the institution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop advanced financial models and perform complex financial analysis to support the university’s operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide strategic insights to optimize resource allocation and financial planning.
  • Utilize software systems to develop financial reports for budgeting, forecasting, and result-focused analytics.
  • Leverage technology and automation tools to modernize financial processes, enhance financial transparency, and improve speed, availability, and accuracy of data and analysis.
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities and suggest enhancements to policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior leadership and other analysts.
  • Produce monthly reports, including key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather, maintain, and develop data standards.
  • Support the integration and optimization of data flows across financial processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or related field.
  • Proven experience in using skills for analyzing, modeling, and reporting financial performance with attention to detail and data integrity.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with higher education financial data and reporting, or consulting experience with an analytic background across multiple sectors/industries.
  • Proven expertise in working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as Hyperion, People Soft, or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated experience to lead senior-level projects.

  • Skilled systems thinker with the ability to quickly shift between detailed tasks and high-level strategic thinking, understanding the interrelatedness of processes and data flows.
  • Mastery in financial analysis, modeling, and reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power Point.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional ability to learn and integrate new technologies swiftly.
  • Proven expertise in optimizing tools and processes for efficiency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional analytical skills and excellent communication skills to interact with Senior Management and across functional teams.
  • Mastery in Excel and Power Point.
  • Demonstrated ability to swiftly learn and integrate new technologies, including AI tools, into day-to-day processes.
  • Highly skilled in optimizing existing tools and processes to automate, streamline, and expedite tasks, ensuring the are done faster, easier, and more accurately.
