Position Duties

The Assistant Director of Strategic Marketing for the School of Education will plan, coordinate, administer, and analyze comprehensive marketing strategies for programs in Loyola's School of Education (So E). As a member of the University’s office of marketing and communications, the assistant director plays a key role in branding the School of Ed and marketing the various programs. The assistant director will work collaboratively with members of the So E, office of marketing and communications, and office of graduate admission.
Strategize and develop new marketing campaigns and initiatives in conjunction with the strategic marketing team and associate dean in the School of Education. Contribute to the annual marketing and media plans for So E in consultation with the Director of Strategic Marketing and Assistant Vice President for Marketing and Communications. Initiate, coordinate and execute the annual publicity/marketing plan for So E graduate programs. Develop and write content for the web, advertising, magazine articles, direct marketing materials or other similar publications. Prepare and coordinate the production of marketing support materials. Work closely with the graduate recruitment staff to carry out complementary marketing recruitment tactics aimed at new graduate student inquires, applications, and enrollment yield.

Identify, write, and communicate student and faculty testimonials and other marketing copy for internal and external distribution and publication. Implement the online and traditional marketing plans. Build and maintain graduate program web properties. Contribute to other communications as needed.

Act as a primary liaison between the office of marketing and communications and the So E to ensure an effective marketing approach to build and maintain a strategy consistent with Loyola's brand. Represent So E in meetings with marketing, public relations, and creative services firms, as needed. Advise faculty and staff concerning the planning and proper use of publications and public relations approaches, Assist in the direction of special programs conducted by So E, including arranging for publicity. Develop marketing reports in conjunction with the strategic marketing team and share those reports with various stakeholders. Plan end of term/year review meetings with consulting partners and school, as needed.

Bachelor's Degree Required, 3-5 years of relevant marketing experience
