Senior Carer

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for enhancing the quality of life for seniors and will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, ensuring that care plans are followed, and promoting a safe and nurturing environment. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Support residents in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance.
- Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals regarding changes in health or behaviour.
- Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required.
- Supervise activities within the care home to ensure safety and compliance with care standards.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to senior staff members.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Experience or knowledge in senior care practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting residents as needed.
- Leadership qualities to assist in supervising other caregivers when required.
- Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and communicating within the team.
- Capability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £13.75-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 48 per week
