An exciting opportunity to join our Bakery Team as a Pastry Chef has opened and we are seeking someone who is energetic and passionate about their craft.
You will be part of a friendly, hardworking, awesome team based in our Bakery near the docks in Southampton.
A bit about you:
Hoxton Bakehouse is an Artisan bakery making handmade sourdough bread, cookies, cinnamon buns, and Viennoiserie pastries. We bake over 1 million loaves and pastries a year, with a mission to bring better bread to more people. We have an ever growing wholesale business and six retail stores which sell not just our bread and pastries but also our own roasted Seadog coffee.

- Experienced Pastry Chef with skills in Lamination an advantage
- Positive can-do attitude with great communication skills
- Friendly and a Team Player
- Hard-working, organised with attention to detail
- Dedicated to maintaining high Food Safety standards
- Be reliable with the flexibility to work both weekdays, weekends and day and evening shifts
- Prepare and bake a variety of artisan pastries and baked goods on a large scale - currently we make around 1000 to 2000 pastries a day
- Ensure the quality and consistency of pastry products
- Collaborate with the team to meet production goals efficiently
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen
- Working 40 hrs per week, five days a week, on a rota basis across seven days. Including early morning and late shifts.
