THE ROLE
We are looking for an engaging and vibrant Maître D’ to be responsible for the host desk and reservations of our lively and multi-faceted Nobu Restaurant.
As Maître D’, you will be exposed to a busy, high volume dining operation including restaurant dining, an interactive sushi bar and intimate private dining spaces. You will have a strong presence on the floor and understand how to keep a smooth flow of service whilst being an ambassador of the Nobu brand.
Your tasks will include but will not be limited to:

• Being fully accountable for the reservations of the Nobu Restaurant.
• Be passionate and approachable, engaging with our diners and creating strong connections.
• Develop and maintain regular clientele to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction in line with Nobu philosophy and standards.
• Hold strong working knowledge of the London hospitality market to successfully create a guest centric, forward-thinking culture.
• Take ownership of reporting and monitoring of our large guest database.
• Overseeing and monitoring the training of the team, deliver daily briefings and work collaboratively with all Hotel departments to ensure exceptional service is maintained.

ABOUT YOU

• Strong communication skills.
• Strong sense of hospitality with ‘joie de vivre’ sense of personality.
• Working knowledge of Sevenrooms, Opentable and Bookatable.
• Knowledge of Japanese cuisine is ideal although not essential.
• Eagerness to understanding clientele.
• Ability to recognise known restaurant critics and prominent figures within London is ideal although not essential.
