Group Account Manager (Derby)

· Job Title: Group Account Manager (Hybrid)(Derby)
· Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday (9.00am – 5.00pm with a 30-minute break). However, specific hours are negotiable (daytime)
· Holidays: 30 Annual Holidays+ 3 x Bank Holidays (New Year’s Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day)
· Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 (negotiable being dependent upon experience)
· Bonus Structure: Based upon achieving agreed KPIs
· Benefits: Company Car
· Location: This is a hybrid role with occasional and required business travel throughout the Midlands and to the Company’s head office/depot in Hull.
· Job Description: Due to business growth, both in sales performance and wider UK geography reach, we are looking to recruit an additional Group Account Manager to our experienced sales team. As a Group Account Manager you will be responsible for managing group accounts, including independent multi-site groups, national contracts and group accounts managed through procurement relationships such as Pelican and YPO. This role will manage a growing group ledger on a day-to-day basis and assist in the tender processes reporting into our Head of Sales (North).
· Responsibilities:
o Build trusted relationships with group purchasing managers and individual site contacts
o Internal management of tenders across multiple online portals and platforms
o Drive growth while delivering on the Company sales & margin plan
o Conduct monthly and quarterly price reviews, and manage the implementation of price changes
o Keep related product information up to date and communicate relevant product changes
o Maintain accurate customer records including contact reports and development progress
o Schedule and attend customer meetings
o Co-ordinate with internally and externally to resolve any issues and manage day-to-day service levels
o Introduce appropriate new products, concepts and product solutions to group accounts
o Work closely with Marketing to utilise all resources and ensure sales are maximised across all product portfolios
· Essential Candidate Skills / Requirements:
o Excellent IT, data processing and administrative skills
o Strong commercial acumen, and analytical mindset with an ability to negotiate to achieve objectives
o Positive personality with strong relationship and communication experience
o Accuracy with attention to detail
o Ability to manage own workload and good time management
o Ability to work well as part of a team having a proactive approach towards own work as well as be a self-motivator
o Passion for developing relationships and adding value to customers
o Motivated, resilient and results driven, with a tenacious ability to go the extra mile to make it happen
o Highly organised and have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
· Desirable Skills / Requirements:
o Previous experience in a FMCG National/Key Account Managers role
o Understanding of tender processes and group account management.
o Willing to learn new skills and work in a fast-paced environment
