Main purpose of the role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller for Sales and Gross Margin, this role includes providing accurate and timely financial reports, analysing costs, assisting with monthly balance sheet reconciliation, monitoring sales data and assisting with gross margin actual, budget and forecast reporting. Financial systems maintenance and master data accuracy is also a large part of the role, with some further responsibility for periodic bank reconciliations and cost accruals, supporting the wider Finance team at Wellingborough. You will be accountable for weekly KPI results to ensure stock control.
You will be working as part of a small team in a quiet office environment.
Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Provide support to ensure that all the company’s accounting allocations are appropriately made and documented down to gross profit level, with a focus on the timely and accurate reporting of the company’s sales results and stock levels, integrating the D365 system wherever possible to achieve this.
• Maintain internal controls over the company’s accounting and financial procedures and ensure there are checks and balances in the system.
• Provide accurate and timely reports. including weekly KPI results to ensure stock control, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, monitoring sales data and assisting with gross margin actual, budget and forecast reporting. Financial systems maintenance. Master data accuracy is also a large part of the role.
• Providing absence cover to the Financial Controller role where applicable.
